Happy New Year! Ike is 46 weeks old today. He is starting to utter his first real words. What fun it is to hear him talk! He said "hippo" a few times when he plays with a toy hippo in the tub. He's also waving goodbye.
We hope that 2010 is a fantastic year of learning, growing, and fun for our family. Wishing everyone health and happiness!
What a fortunate guy our little Ike is! We celebrated Chanukah with Aunt Leslie, Uncle Matt, Uncle Michael, and Cousin Lillian with latkes and presents!
We also had a visit from Tio Steve and Tia Mary on Christmas Day. Ike got this cool truck and a Fisher Price farm.
Ike is 45 weeks old today. We are getting dangerously close to the end of the weekly photos! Does Ike remind you of any TV personality in this shot? (Hint: "The Simpsons")
Ike seems to be enjoying his first Chanukah. He doesn't quite understand what is happening, but he does love looking at the candles burning in the menorah each night. He definitely likes the wooden bear toy (above) from Grandpa. We look forward to seeing him push it around when he starts walking!
Ike got this really neat "Cozy Coupe" from his cousins Lori, Joe, Annie, Sam and Rebecca. Can you tell how much he loves it? We look forward to taking it for a cruise outside. For now, he's been "driving" it around the house. He even made what sounded like an engine noise when I pushed him around in it today.
Ike has progressed to stage 3 foods. That means finger foods and lots of cooking for Mommy! He loves to feed himself rice puffs, teething biscuits, and water from his sippy cup. He is also sharing bananas with Mommy and Daddy.
Lunches consist of thick soup, toast points, and fruit for dessert. We experiment the most at dinner. So far, Ike's had egg yolks, chunks of sweet potato, chicken, and pasta. It's certainly a learning process for all of us.
